WASHINGTON (September 19, 2016) – The American Maritime Partnership (AMP) – the voice of the domestic maritime industry – today issued the following statement in regards to gasoline shortages caused by the Colonial Pipeline leakage.
“The American maritime industry has made significant investments in recent years to increase capacity to move crude and refined products to customers. Our industry is already engaged in those markets and has additional capacity to move gasoline to address the impacts of the Colonial Pipeline leak.”
Those that need assistance identifying American tanker or tank vessel capacity to carry gasoline to market can contact AMP by emailing info@americanmaritimepartnership.com or by calling (202) 661-3740. AMP will work to connect you with vessel operators that could assist.
